"Update **The fact that Ron told me a good way to get the money I need to use for investments was to find a rich old guy and hope he passed away does not show that dedication you speaks of. And I was still not properly informed about my son’s amount that would be returned to him. Perhaps going into detail PRIOR to a policy being cancelled would have helped a great deal. Instead I was told the smallest amount of detail which allowed my son to be ripped off. State Farm agents are dirty. Period. i was wrong. This agent lies too. Rips you off when you cancel your life insurance so beware if you decide to. I just switched to Ron’s office from Troy Turners office in Manassas and I just have to say that, so far, this has been a wonderful change. Brenda has been very attentive and helpful and has stayed right on top of the issues I’ve had getting my policy on the right track!!! Thank you so much for the great service, Brenda!! I had actually considered going back to not having an agent, due to all the issues I had with Troy Turner until I switched here!"
"What separates Ron from a lot of other agents is, he explains how the automatic loan provision of a life insurance policy works and makes sure that it is something that the insured wants when their policy is written. I'm sorry if this option wasn't explained to you by your previous agent who wrote the policy for you. Life insurance is a contract and legal agreement, which means we can't change or make exceptions to them once they are in place. Heaven forbid, if something had happened and someone passed away (thank God that wasn't the case), the loan provision would have kept the policy from lapsing, and State Farm would have paid the death benefit in full. Also, to be fair, if you had requested the cancelation before the policy lapse date (and the premium had been paid on time), the automatic loan provision would not have kicked in, and you would have received the additional refund of $138.77 that was used to pay the past-due premium for the policy to prevent it from canceling. "

"I had stopped driving my broken vehicle, and I had thought I had my policy canceled. Because I wasn't using my vehicle. I ended up with a bill around $300, after arguing with them and talking about everything going on I finally buckled in and paid it. Even though they billed me incorrectly for the last few months. I thought everything was cleared up, I paid the $300. Then I canceled my account. And now they want to charge me for another month with another late fee after I already canceled. Not to mention the late fee came not even a month after I paid my last bills. (Conveniently it is around tax time) To me it seems like a lot of dishonesty, and it shows that a company is more concerned about the money they're receiving than their actual customers."

After reviewing your account, it doesn’t appear we spoke with you or received any request to cancel or suspend your policy prior to your first phone call to us on 4/2. Cancelling and suspending policies is always an option for inoperable vehicles or vehicles not in use so long as they don’t have a loan on them, so this would’ve certainly been something we could’ve taken care of for you had we known. I definitely understand that unexpected increases in premium are extremely frustrating. I see how this could be frustrating & I apologize for any aggravation. We work very hard to ensure our customers receive the best service & provide clear communication to eliminate these types of issues. I’m sorry this wasn’t your experience.
